Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
Initial Course Overview
This course was previously called “First Responder” - the name has changed in accordance with the 2012 National Registry guidelines.
Under the guidelines of the U. S. Department of Transportation, the EMSRB of Minnesota and the North Dakota DEMST, this course is designed for emergency care personnel on rescue squads, fire, and police departments, business, or industry. EMRs are a “link” to local emergency services.
The EMR course is an online blended course. The majority of the course work and lectures is completed online, while the practical part of class (the hands-on part) is done during our face-to-face sessions. Basic computer and internet
knowledge and access to the internet is necessary for this course.
Course Fees
The initial course fee is $475 plus books, which are about $222.
